Collars

This season, collars are massive. Not literally, of course, but they were everywhere on the catwalks. And the rule for collars this season: they must be embellished. Just look at the collar on the Dolce and Gabbana dress below, you can barely see the collar for baroque embroidery. So, how to get this essential look? It's Pay Day! Yay!

It's pay day today! It is also an official blue moon tonight because it is the second full moon of the month. Carnival Time!

It's Carnival time! The excitement of Notting Hill Carnival has reminded Javelin how much we like good music, dressing up and going out for a good time. For this season, we think we'll be repeatedly wearing the Ted Baker Kipp dress, because what says 'going out' better than a fiesty, little red dress. Feathers are always a costume essential for any good carnival outfit (just look at Nikki Minaj in her 'Pound the Alarm' video) so the Little Mistress Feather Print Dress will put you in the carnival mood whenever you wear it out. We've teamed our dresses with Unisa Tekel shoes and the bubblegum scented Melissa Vivienne Westwood Skyscrapers. 

Drapers Fashion Awards Finalist

Javelin is a Finalist in the Drapers Fashion Awards 2012 and we're really excited!!! We just couldn't wait to tell everyone!

We have been shortlisted in the Women's Retailer of the Year - Independents Category. The full shortlist is officially announced on the Drapers Fashion Awards website on Friday 24th August, but for the first time ever they are announcing the finalists on twitter all this week.
